Anyone for Cricket

Summer arrives whatever the weather and as the meadows grow a whole new kingdom of creatures becomes available to us. It is macro lens time, time to hunt for the mini-beasts and bugs that appear at this time of year and who are so much fun to photograph. The Cricket is a favourite but there are so many interesting little creatures that we do not see for most of the year. The meadows are full of picturesque flowers too and it is difficult not to spend a moment or two with these.

About Julian Sawyer

It is easy these days to spend hours processing shots on a computer, removing twigs or imperfections, changing colours to make the shot more pleasing or even adding something that may be missing, but I do not do that. Nature, by its very design, is perfectly imperfect and that is how I want my photographs to be. Sometimes the light is not quite right, sometimes the animal will not pose in the way I want or decides to stay hidden, that is the beauty of wildlife photography and I find it frustratingly magical.
